Estando ainda envolto em algum secretismo, complementamos a abordagem com outras fontes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O Instituto de Tecnologia de Karlsruhe (Alemanha) revelou-nos que o amon\u00edaco pode ser utilizado diretamente como combust\u00edvel em motores de combust\u00e3o interna. No entanto, as suas propriedades de combust\u00e3o n\u00e3o s\u00e3o ideais para o funcionamento do motor. Em particular, a sua baixa capacidade de igni\u00e7\u00e3o e a reduzida velocidade de propaga\u00e7\u00e3o da chama colocam alguns desafios, especialmente em motores de alta rota\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como o seu potencial de ataque corrosivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Misturar com hidrog\u00e9nio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Segundo o Instituto, a mistura com uma determinada quantidade de hidrog\u00e9nio (facilmente inflam\u00e1vel) como combust\u00edvel coadjuvante, pode ajudar a ultrapassar este problema. Al\u00e9m disso, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel decompor uma parte do amon\u00edaco em hidrog\u00e9nio antes da combust\u00e3o, pelo que s\u00f3 seria necess\u00e1rio armazenar amon\u00edaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existe tamb\u00e9m uma vantagem significativa em termos de efici\u00eancia no armazenamento de amon\u00edaco l\u00edquido refrigerado, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o hidrog\u00e9nio l\u00edquido refrigerado, devido ao comportamento de ebuli\u00e7\u00e3o mais favor\u00e1vel e \u00e0 maior densidade energ\u00e9tica do amon\u00edaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em complemento, o Instituto de Termodin\u00e2mica da Universidade de Rostok (Alemanha), referiu que quanto maior for o motor e quanto mais baixa for a sua velocidade de funcionamento (rota\u00e7\u00e3o), mais facilmente esse motor pode ser operado com amon\u00edaco. Nesse sentido, as aplica\u00e7\u00f5es como m\u00e1quinas de constru\u00e7\u00e3o civil e motores estacion\u00e1rios podem ser os primeiros a incorporar motores a combust\u00e3o interna de duplo combust\u00edvel que utilizem amon\u00edaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Ag\u00eancia Portuguesa para o Ambiente, esclareceu que o amon\u00edaco \u00e9 um g\u00e1s altamente reativo e sol\u00favel. \u00c9 origin\u00e1rio de fontes naturais e antropog\u00e9nicas, sendo a principal fonte a agricultura, por ex. degrada\u00e7\u00e3o e volatiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da ureia, adubos, lamas, produ\u00e7\u00e3o e aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de fertilizantes e queima de biomassa.
