Esta inova\u00e7\u00e3o foi apresentada no <a href=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/index.php\/2026\/08\/10\/salao-the-tire-cologne\/\">sal\u00e3o <strong>The Tire Cologne <\/strong><\/a><strong>2026<\/strong>, atrav\u00e9s de um pneu de teste desenvolvido pela <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bisyka-innovation.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bisyka-innovation.com\/\">Bisyka Innovation GmbH<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">H\u00e1 mais de um s\u00e9culo que a ind\u00fastria procura melhorar as propriedades da borracha sint\u00e9tica, mas a borracha natural continua a apresentar vantagens importantes, sobretudo no que respeita \u00e0 resist\u00eancia ao desgaste. Uma das principais raz\u00f5es est\u00e1 na chamada <strong>cristaliza\u00e7\u00e3o induzida por deforma\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>, um fen\u00f3meno que ocorre quando a borracha natural \u00e9 sujeita a esfor\u00e7o mec\u00e2nico, formando nanocristais que impedem a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o de microfissuras e aumentam significativamente a durabilidade do material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foi precisamente este comportamento que os investigadores alem\u00e3es conseguiram reproduzir pela primeira vez, numa borracha sint\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"556\" height=\"367\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14143\" style=\"width:273px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-2.png 556w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-2-300x198.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 556px) 100vw, 556px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Inspira\u00e7\u00e3o na natureza<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O projeto come\u00e7ou com o estudo da borracha extra\u00edda da planta dente-de-le\u00e3o, conduzido por especialistas do <strong>Fraunhofer IME<\/strong>, que analisaram a composi\u00e7\u00e3o molecular deste material e identificaram os componentes respons\u00e1veis pelas suas propriedades mec\u00e2nicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Com base nesse conhecimento, investigadores do <strong>Fraunhofer IAP<\/strong>, em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com um fabricante de catalisadores, desenvolveram um poliisopreno sint\u00e9tico com uma estrutura molecular de elevada pureza. Posteriormente, adicionaram-lhe biomol\u00e9culas presentes na borracha natural, conseguindo reproduzir o fen\u00f3meno da cristaliza\u00e7\u00e3o induzida por deforma\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Conseguimos, pela primeira vez a n\u00edvel mundial, transferir para a borracha sint\u00e9tica as propriedades biol\u00f3gicas \u00fanicas da borracha natural&#8221;, destacou o professor <strong>Dirk Pr\u00fcfer<\/strong>, respons\u00e1vel pela \u00e1rea de Biopol\u00edmeros Vegetais do Fraunhofer IME. Por sua vez, <strong>Mario Beiner<\/strong>, diretor cient\u00edfico do projeto no <strong>Fraunhofer IMWS<\/strong>, \u201co objetivo foi desenvolver uma borracha sint\u00e9tica capaz de igualar \u2014 e at\u00e9 ultrapassar \u2014 a principal vantagem competitiva da borracha natural\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14142\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3333483795251422;width:436px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-750x563.jpg 750w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65-1140x855.jpg 1140w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/colonia-65.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Menor desgaste e maior efici\u00eancia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os primeiros ensaios revelam resultados muito promissores. De acordo com <strong>Ulrich Wendler<\/strong>, respons\u00e1vel pelo projeto no Centro Piloto Fraunhofer para S\u00edntese e Processamento de Pol\u00edmeros (PAZ), \u201cpneus fabricados com esta nova borracha sint\u00e9tica registam uma perda de massa <strong>30 a 50% inferior<\/strong> \u00e0 observada em pneus produzidos com borracha natural. Al\u00e9m disso, o desgaste do piso reduz-se para cerca de metade\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em testes independentes realizados pelo laborat\u00f3rio alem\u00e3o <strong>Pr\u00fcflabor Nord<\/strong>, quatro pneus equipados com a nova mistura percorreram cerca de 1.400 voltas de ensaio em circuito. No final, os pneus convencionais em borracha natural perderam aproximadamente <strong>850 gramas<\/strong> de material e <strong>0,94 mil\u00edmetros<\/strong> de piso, enquanto os pneus desenvolvidos com a tecnologia BISYKA perderam apenas <strong>600 gramas<\/strong> e <strong>0,47 mil\u00edmetros<\/strong> de piso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os investigadores verificaram igualmente uma melhoria na resist\u00eancia ao rolamento. Enquanto os pneus convencionais obtiveram classifica\u00e7\u00e3o <strong>C<\/strong>, os pneus produzidos com a nova borracha alcan\u00e7aram a classifica\u00e7\u00e3o <strong>B<\/strong>, traduzindo-se num potencial aumento da efici\u00eancia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Alternativa estrat\u00e9gica para a ind\u00fastria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"507\" height=\"365\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14144\" style=\"width:401px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-3.png 507w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-3-300x216.png 300w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-3-120x86.png 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 507px) 100vw, 507px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A inova\u00e7\u00e3o ganha especial import\u00e2ncia numa altura em que o abastecimento mundial de borracha natural enfrenta riscos crescentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A produ\u00e7\u00e3o depende essencialmente da seringueira (<em>Hevea brasiliensis<\/em>), cujas planta\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e3o amea\u00e7adas pelo fungo <em>Microcyclus ulei<\/em>. Embora a doen\u00e7a tenha devastado sobretudo planta\u00e7\u00f5es na Am\u00e9rica do Sul, uma eventual dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o para a \u00c1sia \u2014 atualmente respons\u00e1vel pela maior parte da produ\u00e7\u00e3o mundial \u2014 poder\u00e1 colocar em risco o fornecimento desta mat\u00e9ria-prima estrat\u00e9gica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A nova borracha sint\u00e9tica, designada <strong>BISYKA<\/strong> (acr\u00f3nimo alem\u00e3o para &#8220;borracha sint\u00e9tica biomim\u00e9tica&#8221;), poder\u00e1 assim representar uma alternativa industrial vi\u00e1vel, sobretudo para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es exigentes como pneus para cami\u00f5es, onde at\u00e9 agora a borracha natural permanecia praticamente insubstitu\u00edvel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outra vantagem apontada pelos investigadores \u00e9 o facto de o novo material poder ser produzido em escala industrial recorrendo \u00e0s atuais instala\u00e7\u00f5es fabris, sem necessidade de investimentos significativos em novos equipamentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o da tecnologia ficar\u00e1 a cargo da <strong>Bisyka Innovation GmbH<\/strong>, que deu a conhecer um pneu demonstrador no seu <strong>Innovation Lab<\/strong> durante a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do <strong>The Tire Cologne 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os investigadores admitem que a formula\u00e7\u00e3o ainda continuar\u00e1 a ser otimizada, sobretudo ao n\u00edvel da composi\u00e7\u00e3o das biomol\u00e9culas incorporadas e da adapta\u00e7\u00e3o das misturas de piso para pneus de ve\u00edculos ligeiros.
