T\u00e9cnica artesanal antiga, cujos primeiros exemplos conhecidos datam do final do per\u00edodo Neol\u00edtico, a lacagem urushi foi trazida da \u00c1sia para o Ocidente pela primeira vez no s\u00e9culo XVI. Altamente valorizada pela sua apar\u00eancia preciosa e origens ex\u00f3ticas, a laca urushi teve um profundo impacto na arte e nos gostos europeus desde ent\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As plantas e os animais sempre foram altamente simb\u00f3licos nas culturas asi\u00e1ticas, imbu\u00eddos de poderes e atributos especiais, e as cenas da natureza desempenham um papel importante na hist\u00f3ria da arte asi\u00e1tica. Estudando de perto as formas corretas e a anatomia de plantas e de animais, os artistas reproduziram-nos durante s\u00e9culos em detalhes delicados e altamente precisos.
