O prazer que se sente nestes momentos tem uma mec\u00e2nica pr\u00f3pria que \u00e9 partilhada entre rel\u00f3gios e carros. Trata-se do controlo sobre o que \u00e9 aparentemente incontrol\u00e1vel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Num carro controlamos explos\u00f5es, num rel\u00f3gio algo mais dif\u00edcil de controlar: o tempo. Tanto os carros como os rel\u00f3gios t\u00eam motores, na verdade os motores dos rel\u00f3gios chamam-se apenas movimentos. Existem v\u00e1rios pormenores t\u00e9cnicos partilhados entre os carros e os rel\u00f3gios, ambos t\u00eam escape, rodas dentadas, rolamentos, rotores, veios, \u00f3leos, vidros, correias, entre outros.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Derek-Pratt-single-wheel-remontoir.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Derek-Pratt-single-wheel-remontoir.jpg 630w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Derek-Pratt-single-wheel-remontoir-283x300.jpg 283w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Existem, no entanto, alguns rel\u00f3gios muito raros que t\u00eam uma pe\u00e7a tamb\u00e9m muito rara nos carros: tri\u00e2ngulos Reuleaux. Estes tri\u00e2ngulos s\u00e3o t\u00edpicos dos motores Wankel, que equiparam 80% dos motores dos avi\u00f5es na Primeira Guerra Mundial, tal como alguns Mazda at\u00e9 2012. Os primeiros motores Wankel equiparam o Mazda Cosmo Sport 110S, mas os mais famosos foram os Mazda RX7 e RX8, que se tornaram mesmo \u00edcones da marca.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em relojoaria, os tri\u00e2ngulos Reuleaux s\u00e3o ainda menos comuns, nunca foram adoptados por nenhuma marca, apenas podem ser vistos nos rel\u00f3gios de Derek Pratt. Felix Wankel e Derek Pratt partilham uma coisa em comum, nenhum dos dois foi engenheiro. Felix Wankel nem sequer tinha carta de condu\u00e7\u00e3o. Foram ambos geniais nas suas cria\u00e7\u00f5es, contudo, nenhuma destas cria\u00e7\u00f5es ganhou uma express\u00e3o dominante no mercado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/EDN_NCAUTO_13347955-0.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/EDN_NCAUTO_13347955-0.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/EDN_NCAUTO_13347955-0-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/EDN_NCAUTO_13347955-0-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/EDN_NCAUTO_13347955-0-750x500.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Na mec\u00e2nica autom\u00f3vel, os motores Wankel s\u00e3o considerados uma alternativa aos motores de pist\u00f5es, com vantagens e desvantagens algo controversas. O seu funcionamento implica rotores em forma de tri\u00e2ngulo de faces curvas convexas, em vez de pist\u00f5es. Estes rotores rodam de forma exc\u00eantrica no interior de uma c\u00e2mara em forma de 8. Os v\u00e9rtices do tri\u00e2ngulo est\u00e3o sempre em contacto com as paredes da c\u00e2mara. Assim, se uma mistura for injectada num dos espa\u00e7os entre uma das tr\u00eas faces do tri\u00e2ngulo e a parede interior da c\u00e2mara, quando esse espa\u00e7o diminuir de tamanho, ir\u00e1 haver uma compress\u00e3o na subsequente redu\u00e7\u00e3o de volume, enquanto o rotor gira. Desta forma, produz-se o cl\u00e1ssico ciclo de quatro tempos &#8211; admiss\u00e3o, compress\u00e3o, explos\u00e3o e escape. Para al\u00e9m disso, as tr\u00eas faces do rotor encontram-se em tr\u00eas fases diferentes do ciclo ao mesmo tempo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"656\" src=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/mazda-rotary-revolution01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3468\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/mazda-rotary-revolution01.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/mazda-rotary-revolution01-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/mazda-rotary-revolution01-768x504.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automotiverevista.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/mazda-rotary-revolution01-750x492.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos rel\u00f3gios de Derek Pratt, existe um mecanismo que tamb\u00e9m contempla um tri\u00e2ngulo Reuleaux, este encontra-se no que se designa por escape do rel\u00f3gio. O escape tem uma pe\u00e7a chamada de \u00e2ncora que \u00e9 equivalente \u00e0s bielas dos motores de pist\u00e3o, s\u00f3 que, no caso dos rel\u00f3gios, transforma o movimento rotativo que recebe das rodagens em pequenos impulsos peri\u00f3dicos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sempre que se d\u00e1 corda a um rel\u00f3gio mec\u00e2nico enrola-se uma mola que fica sobre tens\u00e3o dentro de um inv\u00f3lucro em forma de tambor. A \u00e2ncora \u00e9 a pe\u00e7a que impede que esta mola se desenrole completamente de uma s\u00f3 vez. F\u00e1-lo atrav\u00e9s de duas palhetas de rubi que tocam e se libertam alternadamente dos dentes de uma roda, a roda de escape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;A inova\u00e7\u00e3o de Derek Pratt consistiu em colocar uma mola extra em forma de espiral, com uma forquilha de dois dentes e um tri\u00e2ngulo Reuleaux no centro da mesma.
