Para transportadores que pretendam passar a utilizar biodiesel B100, a nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o DAF <\/a>XF, XG e XG+<\/sup> pode agora tamb\u00e9m ser fornecida com um motor PACCAR MX-13 especialmente desenvolvido. O biodiesel B100, tamb\u00e9m conhecido como biodiesel FAME (\u00e9steres met\u00edlicos de \u00e1cidos gordos) ou RME (\u00e9steres met\u00edlicos de colza), \u00e9 um combust\u00edvel inteiramente produzido a partir de \u00f3leos vegetais e gorduras renov\u00e1veis. O B100 reduz as emiss\u00f5es de CO2<\/sub> em at\u00e9 90% em todo o ciclo de vida quando comparado com o gas\u00f3leo f\u00f3ssil, o que o torna semelhante ao HVO (\u00f3leo vegetal tratado com hidrog\u00e9nio).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para atingir as emiss\u00f5es de CO2<\/sub> mais reduzidas poss\u00edvel, o MX-13 compat\u00edvel com B100 (355 kW\/480 PK) est\u00e1 equipado com software especialmente concebido que tem em conta fatores como o valor calor\u00edfico inferior do biodiesel.
“Com a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o do motor MX-13 para biodiesel, disponibilizamos uma alternativa aos transportadores que est\u00e3o empenhados no transporte sustent\u00e1vel. Todos os cami\u00f5es DAF com um motor de combust\u00e3o s\u00e3o compat\u00edveis com HVO, mas o B100 est\u00e1 mais facilmente dispon\u00edvel em algumas regi\u00f5es”, afirma Jeroen van den Oetelaar, respons\u00e1vel desenvolvimento produto da DAF Trucks. “Com a op\u00e7\u00e3o B100, fornecemos agora aos transportadores outra forma \u2013 para al\u00e9m do HVO e dos nossos grupos motopropulsores el\u00e9tricos \u2013 de reduzir a sua pegada ecol\u00f3gica, sem fazer quaisquer concess\u00f5es no que diz respeito \u00e0 fiabilidade do ve\u00edculo.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
